Thunder Predator took first place in BTS Pro Series Season 4: Americas, winning RM69,000 ($17,000).

The grand finals were a rematch of Thunder Predator and 4 Zoomers. Zoomers had knocked Thunder Predator down to the lower bracket in a first-round upper bracket series on December 16. That series went 2:1 for Zoomers, who had also beaten Thunder Predator 2:0 during the group stage.

Undaunted, Thunder Predator made the lower bracket run. They went 2:0 versus 5ManMidas and beastcoast. They faced new stack SADBOYS in the lower bracket final, taking it 2:1.

The grand final series went 3:1 for Thunder Predator. They dropped the first game before sweeping three in a row.

This is the first time a South American team has won one of these significant joint-Americas tournaments since the pandemic sent all tournaments online. Thunder Predator are positioned well to start the new season of the Dota Pro Circuit in 2021 with confidence.

This tournament wraps up Dota 2 in 2020 for the Americas. Stay tuned to TrackDota for updates on rosters, the Dota Pro Circuit, and reflections on 2020 as we head into the new year.
