Team Secret’s carry player, MATUMBAMAN, has been featured in the Forbes 30 Under 30 Europe 2021 Sports & Games list. Lasse Aukusti “MATUMBAMAN” Urpalainen is one of the three esports professional players who have been a part of this 2021 list. The inclusion in this elite list is another notch on Team Secret’s belt after their midlaner, Nisha, was awarded as the Esports PC Player of the Year at Esports Awards 2020. MATUMBAMAN had a splendid 2020 with Team Secret as the team had managed to win eight Dota 2 tournaments in a row with a 3-0 win in each of the eight grand finals. This is the sixth iteration of the Forbes 30 Under 30 List for the European region. It comprises various categories ranging from Sports & Games, Art & Culture, Social Impact, and more.

Team Secret carry, MATUMBAMAN, gets featured in Forbes

MATUMBAMAN has made it to the Forbes 30 Under 30 Europe 2021 Sports & Games list that has personalities from Europe and UK. The website now has a dedicated profile of the Dota 2 gamers where they have given a brief about his playing career. 

Star CS:GO player Mathieu “ZywOo” Herbaut, and League of Legends player Luka “Perkz” Perković, are the two other esports players who have clinched a spot in this list. 

MATUMBAMAN has had an illustrious Dota 2 career and is prominent for his championship run at TI7 with Team Liquid. In addition, he had won several top-tier tournaments during his time with the team from 2015-19, including EPICENTER 2016, 2017, and the China Dota2 Supermajor. Even after leaving the team and joining Team Secret in 2019, the Finnish player has not stopped delivering solid performances and accumulating accolades. In 2020, he was able to win eight online Dota 2 tournaments with a 3-0 clean sweep in the grand finals of each one of them. According to Liquipedia, MATUMBAMAN has amassed RM4,730,000 ($1,143,189 USD) in prize money until now. 

Previously, other Dota 2 players have also been featured in various Forbes’ lists – Team Nigma captain, KuroKy in the DACH (Germany, Austria and Switzerland) 2020 list, former OG carry, ana, in the Asian 2020 list, current Na’Vi offlaner, RAMZES666, in the Russian list in 2019 and current OG captain, N0tail, in the global list in 2018.

In addition to this European list in various categories, Forbes also announced similar lists for the North American and Asian regions.
