One of the most high-profile transfers following the conclusion of The International 9 was that of Roman “RAMZES666” Kushnarev who left CIS team Virtus.Pro (VP) to join NA powerhouse Evil Geniuses (EG).
Considered by many as one of the finest Dota 2 players in the world, many speculated that the NA org paid through the roof for acquiring RAMZES666. In a report published by Forbes, it was revealed that EG paid RM320 k ($75,000 USD) to acquire the Russian player.
The report also revealed the average salaries of Dota 2 pro players.
The maximum salary of a player in esports is RM149 k ($35,000) per month. Only superstars get this kind of money, there are very few of them in the world. Players at the top level can count on RM 42 k – RM64 k ($10,000 – $15,000), Beginners – RM 8 k – RM21 k ($2,000 – $5,000) per month. Small organizations pay less, RM2 k – RM4 k ($500 to $1,000.)
Earlier this year, V1lat revealed that Vladimir “RodjER” Nikogosyan cost Virtus.Pro RM427 k ($100,000) while confirming that RAMZES666 cost EG less than RM427 k ($100,000).
