23savage appeared in a recent podcast interview on BOOM Esports’ YouTube channel, where he mentioned the strongest and the weakest teams in the SEA 2021 DPC Season 1: Upper Division. According to Nuengnara “23savage” Teeramahanon, TNC Predator is the strongest team at the moment considering their potential alongside Fnatic who is equally good. The Thai carry also mentioned that Vice Esports and Execration are probably the weakest teams considering they are placed at the bottom half of the points table. 23savage was recruited by BOOM Esports last week on February 15, 2021, as a stand-in carry for the remainder of the DPC season.
23savage’s podcast interview with BOOM Esports
In episode 2 of ‘BOOMPODCAST’, 23savage talked about a host of things with the most interesting one being his opinion on the teams competing in the SEA Upper Division.
“I think TNC is the strongest team right now because of like, we scrim with them. We saw them playing, they have potential like they had last year and Fnatic is good too. I think they are at the same level right now. I think it’s either Vice or Execration (on the weakest teams). They are at the bottom of the standings.
(On the most difficult team BOOM faces in case of tiebreakers) I think TNC. They are pretty solid and have a lot of experience. They have TI players and Major players. I think they are tougher in important games and they kinda have experienced before.”
In a surprising revelation, 23savage mentioned that he had already been in talks with the founder of BOOM Esports, Gary “Natshuba” Ongko Putra, before the start of the DPC season.
“Actually me and Gary have been talking for quite a while. I actually had asked him to join BOOM before the start of the DPC, after Vici Gaming released me but it was too late. The roster was locked at that time.”
23savage recently achieved 10K MMR on his third account, after already having crossed the 11K MMR milestone on two of his Dota 2 accounts. Talking about his daily routine which allowed him to grind a lot of MMR, 23savage said,
“The secret is like, I play 15 games a day and actually in one week, I play pubs for six days and have only one day break to go out with my girlfriend. So, basically, I just play the whole day and don’t really do anything. It is my daily routine, I play 15 pubs per day.”
23savage has helped BOOM Esports secure wins in their last couple of series against Execration and Vice Esports. They are currently positioned at the fifth spot in the SEA 2021 DPC Season 1: Upper Division with a W-L record of 4-3. The Indonesian organization still has a chance of reaching the Singapore Major if both T1 and TNC Predator lose their final series against Neon Esports and Fnatic, respectively.
