CS:GO Skin Sells For A Record RM607,800 ($150,000)
All those who regularly play CS:GO are well aware of the importance of the skin trading business related to the game. Most players use it casually to get their favorite skins, sell off duplicates, or just earn some quick cash to purchase something else on Steam. But then there are a few who take this super seriously and have made quite a fortune by turning skin trading into a lucrative business.
The recent deal reportedly cracked by popular CS:GO skin trader ‘ROFL’ by selling his friend’s ‘Case Hardened AK-47 (ST MW 661)’ skin which had 4 ‘Titan | Katowice 2014’ stickers for an insane RM607,800 ($150,000 USD), is a perfect example of how huge this niche industry is.

This has now officially become the most expensive CS:GO skin purchase in the world, coming six months after a Chinese collector had reportedly purchased the ultra rare CS:GO skin ‘StatTrak M4A4 Howl with 4 iBUYPOWER Katowice 2014 stickers’ for a price of RM405,200 ($100,000 USD). Though there were some rumours about him planning to resell the skin for around RM526,760 ($130,000 USD), no update on the matter has surfaced ever since.
UPDATE: He now clarified that $130,000 is the price he would sell it for – he bought it for some less (I am assuming around $100k which still sets the record)— ohnePixel (@ohnePixel) July 4, 2020
Renowned CS:GO economist OhnePixel gave further insight on the deal cracked by ‘ROFL’ by revealing that, the CS:GO skin was purchased within two days of its advertisement for sale going live.
